Terms of Service

The basics

PopNxt is a free, community-driven platform where Chicago vendors share and discover vending events. By using PopNxt, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay -- but please don't use the platform.

Your account

• You need an account to use PopNxt. Keep your login info secure.
• One account per person. Don't create multiple accounts to manipulate votes or reviews.
• Use your real business info. Fake profiles undermine the community.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.

Content you post

When you submit events, write comments, or leave reviews on PopNxt:

• You own your content. We don't claim ownership of anything you post.
• You give us permission to display it. By posting content, you grant PopNxt a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content on the platform. This is just so we can show your comments, reviews, and event submissions to other users.
• You're responsible for it. Make sure what you post is accurate to the best of your knowledge and doesn't violate anyone else's rights.
• Keep it real. Don't post misleading event info, spam, or content that's hateful, threatening, or illegal.

Event information

This is important: PopNxt is a community platform, not an event organizer. Event details are submitted and discussed by vendors like you.

• We don't guarantee accuracy. Event details (dates, locations, booth costs, etc.) come from community submissions. Always verify details with the event organizer before making plans.
• Events can change. Organizers may update details, cancel events, or change terms after they're posted here. That's out of our control.
• We're not responsible for event outcomes. If you attend an event and it doesn't meet your expectations, that's between you and the organizer. PopNxt is just the messenger.

Community conduct

PopNxt works because vendors help each other. Please:

• Be honest in your reviews and comments
• Vote based on real experience, not personal grudges
• Use the suggest-edit and report features to flag inaccurate info
• Don't harass, bully, or target other vendors
• Don't game the system (fake votes, sock puppet accounts, coordinated manipulation)

Moderation

We moderate event submissions and community content to keep the platform useful and trustworthy. We reserve the right to:

• Approve, reject, or edit event submissions
• Remove content that violates these terms
• Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly break the rules
• Take action on content that's flagged by the community

We try to be fair, but moderation decisions are ultimately at our discretion.

Account termination

You can stop using PopNxt at any time. We can suspend or close your account if you violate these terms. If your account is closed, your content may remain on the platform (without your name attached) to preserve community discussions.

Limitation of liability

PopNxt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the platform running and the information accurate, but we're a small team and things can go wrong.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PopNxt is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: lost profits from event attendance, decisions made based on community reviews, or service interruptions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and do our best to notify you. Continued use of PopNxt after changes means you accept the updated terms.
